Security

File content is transferred peer-to-peer via WebRTC with DTLS encryption, without being relayed by the server. Establishing a connection requires exchanging pairing information, either through a signaling server (WebSocket) or via offline QR-code pairing. Offline mode supports SAS short-code verification to help identify potential MITM risks.

Network requirements

Sender and receiver must be on the same local network (Wi‑Fi or wired). For the best throughput, connect both devices to the same Wi‑Fi and the same band (prefer 5GHz), avoid mixing 5GHz ↔ 2.4GHz, and stay close to the router or use wired Ethernet.
